2021 - Pakistan: Shigar

A trip to the Shigar region in the Karakoram

In these Covid times we didn't plan a trip to the mountains in advance, but we did manage a month, August, in Karachi staying with Rashida's mum, and in that month we spent a week in Shigar in the Karakoram. We had a day trips to Masur Rock, a perilous granite pinnacle overlooking the Indus Valley, a drive into the Deosai Plains, and a three night trek over Thalle La Pass, in the Shigar region.
