2000 - Antarctica: Marguerite Bay

In February 2000 I accompanied my father on his return trip to the Argentine Islands on the Antarctic Peninsula. The photographs shown here are just a few of the many that I took during the 18 day voyage.

Dad was the base medic on Base F on the Argentine Islands for 18 months in the early 60s when the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) was known as the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS). This trip down South was organised by ex-FIDS members as a millennium reunion trip.
